Suspend and Resume Hotspots
Suspend hotspots that are overdue by 3 or more days
- From LEAP (https://suffolk.polarislibrary.com/leapwebapp), click "FIND"
- From the breadcrumb-like menu, choose Item Record > SQL Search > Wifi's Suspended and Returned
- Click the magnifying glass icon next to the SQL query string
- For each result
- Double click on the result, or highlight it and click open
- Click Blocks and Notes
- Mark and copy the URL in the Non-Public Note, and paste that URL in a new browser tab or window. That should take you to the Verizon page for that hotspot.
- Log in if you have to
- Click on “Suspend”
- For the two questions that appear, answer "Yes" and "Other"
- Back on the Polaris page, change "(None)" to “Hotspot Suspended” in "Library Assigned Block"
- Click "Save"
- Click "Results" and select the next hotspot to be resumed.
Note: You will often get a error message when there are no more results
